Great campsites with showers! The step dam was easily accessible and fun for children.
My family and I camp here once a year in April. It's the best time to canoe the Brushy creek run; put in below the dam here, take out at the new bridge. There isn't a single place on earth that could offer a more beautiful scenery and good, quality family time than The Sipsey Wilderness. No power, no cell phones, tablets, pagers or other ridiculous electronics & gadgets. Just you, family and the great outdoors. If people would get off their phone's and out of the fantasy world we call the internet, they'd be surprised at what they could see if only they would stop to look around. Love, love, love this place!!
A few friends and I Kayaked Brushy creek starting at Brushy Lake... It was absolutely beautiful... the scenery and water falls were breathtaking. huge boulders in the creek sheer cliffs and huge mature hardwood/evergreens keep the underbrush along the creek to a minimum... dozens of perfect places to set up camp along the creek. Oh and the water... Crystal clear!!
Favorite local place to camp and day trip too. Great Daycation place.
Nice place can't wait to go back and camp there!
